Sooner Cleaning + Restoration is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, executing precise repairs, and performing preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Pay is $18-25/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify the root cause of equipment failures.

• Repairs: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery or products, replacing worn or broken components as needed.

• Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.

• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with clients to explain the repairs required, provide accurate quotes, and offer basic operating instructions.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent workplace hazards.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate’s degree in a related technical, mechanical, or electrical field is highly preferred.

• Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or field service.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic instruments.

• Soft Skills: Excellent critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments

• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Technicians should be energetic and highly motivated and must have a valid driver's license. No experience necessary – we will train you on everything you need to know.

Work hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 7:45 AM to 4 PM (end time will vary depending on the day's schedule), plus one Saturday shift per month on-call for water damage related emergencies.

Pay typically starts at $18/hour with opportunities for advancement and overtime.
